Since its inception, Believe Athletics has been committed to building a sustainable future and respecting the environment. We strive to act as responsibly as possible, taking into account a variety of factors when evaluating the sustainability of our collections such as the use of ecological and recycled fabrics, the non-existence of harmful substances in their production, the creation of products that do not contribute to the pollution of the oceans, the energy consumption used and the amount of water used. We proudly plant a tree with every order to help restore nature and take care of our planet.

Madagascar

Madagascar

This restoration area is located on a lowland mangrove forest along the Akalamboro Estuary surrounding the Akalamboro community in northwest Madagascar. The northern edge of this estuary is part of the Baie de Baly National Park.

Before starting the project, the mangrove forests found in this area were severely impacted by deforestation and forest degradation from charcoal production and wood collection for cooking, construction, and other purposes.

The mangrove forest is unique in that it is a deep-water canal that meets up with an extensive, freshwater river system. This makes it a vital nursery for numerous fish species, abundant Nile crocodile, and multiple bird species, including the endangered Madagascar sacred ibis.

Tanzania

Nestled in the diverse landscapes of Tanzania, our project champions ethical and community-led ecological restoration. With a strong emphasis on women's participation and indigenous knowledge, we focus on restoring ecosystems vital for combating climate change and protecting endangered species habitats.

Our approach prioritizes the long-term health and survival of trees, going beyond mere numbers. We integrate traditional practices with modern conservation techniques, aiming to create a sustainable balance between human and ecological needs.

Collaborating closely with local communities, this initiative addresses critical challenges such as water scarcity, food security, and infrastructural development. Through this project, we strive to foster a resilient and sustainable future for Tanzania's natural heritage and its people.
