Tonnes of carbon reduced

Since its inception, Believe Athletics has been committed to building a sustainable future and respecting the environment. We strive to act as responsibly as possible, taking into account a variety of factors when evaluating the sustainability of our collections such as the use of ecological and recycled fabrics, the non-existence of harmful substances in their production, the creation of products that do not contribute to the pollution of the oceans, the energy consumption used and the amount of water used. We proudly plant a tree with every order to help restore nature and take care of our planet.

Madagascar

Madagascar

This restoration area is located on a lowland mangrove forest along the Akalamboro Estuary surrounding the Akalamboro community in northwest Madagascar. The northern edge of this estuary is part of the Baie de Baly National Park.

Before starting the project, the mangrove forests found in this area were severely impacted by deforestation and forest degradation from charcoal production and wood collection for cooking, construction, and other purposes.

The mangrove forest is unique in that it is a deep-water canal that meets up with an extensive, freshwater river system. This makes it a vital nursery for numerous fish species, abundant Nile crocodile, and multiple bird species, including the endangered Madagascar sacred ibis.

Tanzania

Tanzania

This planting site is located in the Malindi Hills of the Usambara Mountains in northeastern Tanzania, within the Tanga region’s Lushoto District. The Usambara Mountains are part of the Eastern Arc range, one of the most ecologically important regions in East Africa, known for exceptional biodiversity and endemic species.

Deforestation and land degradation have reduced forest cover in this area, increasing soil erosion, water stress, and climate vulnerability. Reforestation efforts focus on restoring native forest cover, stabilizing degraded hillsides, and improving ecosystem health.

The project is implemented with the villagers of Malindi, involving community members and a local school in tree planting and environmental education. Restoring 119 hectares with native trees supports carbon sequestration, strengthens livelihoods, and promotes long-term forest stewardship.
